Do you know São João Batista?



                São João Batista is a small city, located in the state of Santa Catarina, south of Brazil. A city that was funded by Italian immigrants, in the past and colonized by Azorean. The city is called Santa Catarina's capital of shoes.

                My city has  good weather, sunny days are too hot, so you can go to the Fernandes’ waterfall and take a delicious shower or you can cycle by the streets.  In the winter, you can stay home and get warm in our wood burning stove.
Do you like parties? São João Batista is the right place for having fun. In July, we have São João’s party, there are three days of party, and you can eat traditional foods like cocada, a delicious pastry. At midnight of Saturday, there is the light of the fire, as shown in the picture.






                In October, there is the Shoemaker's party. In  2017, we had the biggest vaca atolada, a traditional rural dish in our Farmer’s Party, as shown in the picture.



      We haven’t talked about food yet. Do you like Italian food? We have a cozy hostel with delicious Italian food. Its name is Nona Lurdes’ Inn and Restaurant. Check it out in the picture:

The artist I chose to write about is Karla Camila Cabello-Estrabao, better known as Camila Cabello. Camila Cabello was born on March 3, 1997 in Havana, Cuba. She got the American citizenship in 2008. My name is Cinara, I'm 18 years old and I'm Brazilian, from Blumenau, state of Santa Catarina. I am a Letras  student and work in the afternoon as a junior apprentice in a fashion design course.
