Motivating Plans
Sometimes it is hard to think about the future, especially when you are young and you feel a little bit lost in this big world. I have anxiety so it is complicated to make plans, because I get frustrated and overwhelmed if something does not work the way it should. There are days that I do not even want to think about my life. Those days I just want to follow my routine and I look forward to my bedtime.
Although it can be difficult to make plans and try to accomplish them, I am trying my best. Sometimes I fail, sometimes I do it right. Most of the time I am feeling too tired, but I keep holding on. Even when I am scared about the future, I know that I will have to get there eventually, so I make good plans. These plans keep me motivated.
For example: I will be dating by 25 years old.
I probably overestimate romances, but I would really like to have a partner. Not just for cuddling and kissing, but also sharing good moments and supporting each other. I think that 25 years is a good age, don’t you?
Second: I will be living alone by 23 years old.
Freedom, no more boring rules, no more invasion of privacy… no more mother to clean your things or pay the bills, but I guess that’s worth it, right?
Third: I will not have kids.
It counts as a plan, doesn’t it? I like babies, I like kids, but motherhood is not for me. I want a pet. Dogs, cats, fishes, birds, they are nice. But no human babies, please.
Fourth: I will be an English teacher.
I really love English. It’s in my blood. So, I want to teach my favorite subject in the world. Maybe if I show kids my love for English, they can love it, too. I want to teach it in a funny way. Most of my English teachers have been good, since preschool to high school, that’s why English is so fascinating for me. I want to be able to make my future students love it, too.
